We have hiked most of The Long Trail together in bits and pieces here and there over the past 25 years. Many sections we have done many times and even today, after about 20 years, we still maintain the Dean Trail on Camel's Hump as volunteers for the Green Mountain Club. We have hiked all the NE 4,000 footers, and nearly all of the 100 highest. We have hiked several other high peaks in North Carolina, Colorado, Arizona and Alaska (not Denali sorry to say).
In the past, because of work, family, responsibilities and all the other possible delays in life, we haven't hiked The Long Trail in total, at one time. 2014 will be our attempt to at least hike it in one season. We'd love to do it all at once, however, we still have responsibilities we can't be away quite that long for. We are doing it our way!
